6 Fitness + Wellness Trends Women Are Loving Right Now
By Jill Johnson-Dim, Founder & CEO of Glute Studio

Fitness fads come and go. But right now, something feels different. The women I talk to every day don't want extreme diets or crazy workouts. They want to feel strong, calm and connected. Here are the six trends I'm seeing everywhere, and how we do each one at Glute Studio.
1. Strength training is the main event
Lifting weights is officially in, and I've been waiting for this! Strength training builds muscle, protects your bones and joints, speeds up your metabolism and makes you feel confident. Worried you'll get bulky? Believe me, you won't. It's about being strong for real life, like carrying all the groceries in one trip (we all do it), keeping up with your kids and feeling amazing in your jeans.
At Glute Studio: Every class has a coach, so you learn the right way from day one. That's why I can say it: get 50% stronger in 30 days, guaranteed.
2. On a GLP-1? Strength matters more than ever
So many women are using GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. If that's you, here's what I want you to know. When you lose weight fast, not all of it is fat. In the big study behind Wegovy, close to 40% of the weight people lost was muscle and other lean tissue, not fat.
Muscle is what keeps your body toned and your metabolism going. The good news? Research shows that strength training and eating enough protein help you keep it. The goal isn't just to get smaller. It's to get stronger.
At Glute Studio: Our coaches help you build and protect your muscle every step of the way. Always check with your doctor about your medication and exercise plan.
3. Working out for your mind, too
Women are working out to feel good, not just to look good. A good workout can lift your mood, clear your head and help you sleep better. Had a rough day? I hear you, babe! I see it all the time. Someone walks in stressed and walks out lighter, clearer and smiling.
At Glute Studio: We believe in body, mind, faith and community. Our God's Strength programs bring encouragement and purpose right into your workout.
4. Strong through menopause
This one is close to my heart. Starting in our 30s, we slowly lose muscle. Then menopause hits, and it can feel like your body changed the rules overnight. Women can lose up to 20% of their bone strength in the first five to seven years.
Here's the good news. In a study called LIFTMOR, women after menopause who did coached strength training twice a week for eight months made their spine and hip bones stronger. I know it can feel hard, but you can absolutely get stronger at any age.
At Glute Studio: All levels are welcome. Our coaches adjust every move so you can start where you are and keep going.
5. Less tracking, more calm
So many women tell me they're tired of their watch bossing them around about steps, calories and sleep scores. The new trend is simple habits that help you relax and recover.
At Glute Studio: Infrared mat Pilates and our Total Sculpting wellness services give you time to slow down, breathe and reset.
6. Fitness is the new girls' night out
Women want to sweat together, laugh together and make real friends. Workouts and fitness events are becoming the new way to hang out, and that's my favorite part of what we've built. Trust me, our events are a whole vibe!
At Glute Studio: We do it all, from theme nights like our 70's, 80's and 90's nights and DJ nights, to wellness events, God Girls Walk & Worship and God's Strength Fitness Night. The Glute Squad shows up for each other, inside and outside the studio.
