1-on-1 Personal Training at Glute Studio Elk Grove CA

Coaching crafted for you. Results you can feel (and see).

Where personal attention meets a proven, glute-led method

If you’re ready for coaching that’s meticulous, uplifting, and 100% centered on your goals, welcome to 1-on-1 Personal Training at Glute Studio. Our philosophy is simple: lead with the glutes, build the body. Stronger glutes don’t just change how you look. They support posture, reduce nagging aches, and make everyday movement feel easier. That’s why every plan starts with hip strength and smart lower-body mechanics, then expands to full-body strength, conditioning, and recovery so your progress sticks.

This page is your behind-the-scenes tour. You’ll see exactly how we design your program, what happens in a session, how we progress your lifts, how we measure results, and how we tie in recovery so you can train hard and feel good doing it. Think white-glove coaching without the stiffness, science without the jargon, and sessions that are friendly, focused, and fun.

How we do the work: the end-to-end process

Discovery, movement screen, and goal mapping
Your first step is a quick sit-down and a practical screen. We look at your hinge, squat depth, single-leg control, and core bracing. We ask about training history, aches, time constraints, and what success looks like for you in the next 6 to 12 weeks. From there, we map milestones and choose the glute patterns your body needs most. At Glute Studio we put the glutes at the center because they anchor posture, power, and comfort in motion. Your plan will reflect that, tailored to your level from day one.
A personal plan, not a template
Your program includes exercise selections, sets, reps, tempos, rest ranges, and weekly progressions built for your goals and schedule. We cycle hip-dominant work with supportive squat and single-leg patterns, layer in upper-body pushes and pulls to balance you out, and assign core that actually carries over to your lifts. Expect the staples done exceptionally well, with just enough variety to keep your joints happy and your progress moving.
The G.L.U.T.E. Method in 1-on-1 form
Our signature method blends glute-focused strength, full-body training, and recovery. In practice, that means targeted activation up front, strength blocks that prioritize quality, and short conditioning that supports body composition without wrecking your legs for the next session. It’s deliberate, progressive, and built for long-term results.
Recovery is part of the plan
You adapt between sessions, not during them. We coach sleep, stress, and movement between training days, and when you want extra support you can layer in on-site recovery options like infrared sauna, compression, and cold plunge. Recovery isn’t a luxury here. It’s part of how we keep you consistent and feeling great.

What a 1-on-1 session actually looks like

Arrival & check-in
We review your plan, note how you slept and feel, and confirm the day’s focus. If something feels off, we modify before the warm-up.
Activation warm-up (6–10 minutes)
We prime the muscles we want to lead the show. Expect mini-band abductions to wake up glute med, glute bridge holds to groove top-end lockout, light hinges to pattern the hip, and brief core bracing to stabilize your spine. You’ll feel your first work set “click,” not guess. (Glutes first, then everything else follows.)
Primary strength block (15–20 minutes)
This is the meat of your lift. It may be a barbell or machine hip thrust, Romanian deadlift, safety-bar squat, or a split-squat pattern depending on your goals and what suits your structure. We coach foot pressure, torso angle, and a clean lockout (“hips through, ribs down”) so the work lands where it should. Loads live in strength or strength-hypertrophy ranges with enough rest to keep quality high.
Secondary strength block (12–15 minutes)
We complement the main lift with a pattern that fills the gaps. For example, heavy thrusts pair with deep squats to build range, or RDLs pair with step-ups to improve single-leg control. We’ll often use tempo (e.g., 3-second lowers) or pauses at challenging positions to teach control. The combination builds balanced legs and durable hips.
Accessory & core circuit (8–12 minutes)
Here we zoom in: cable kickbacks with alignment cues, lateral step-downs to train knee track, hip airplanes for stability, anti-rotation presses for trunk control. Reps run higher, rests are shorter, and the pump is purposeful. These drills support better mechanics on your big lifts.
Short conditioning finisher (5–7 minutes)
We cap the hour with joint-friendly conditioning: sled pushes, bike intervals, step-up ladders, or row sprints. Enough to push your engine and support body-composition goals, not so much that it steals from tomorrow’s strength. Our broader training approach uses conditioning as a complement, not a punishment.
Cool-down & notes (3–5 minutes)
We down-shift with breath work and a few mobility moves, then log reps, loads, and cues. If a variation felt perfect, we anchor it. If something felt off, we adjust for next time. That feedback loop is where personal training shines.

Programming you can trust (and enjoy)

  • Training split
Most clients thrive on 2–3 sessions per week. We organize your plan around hip-dominant, squat-dominant, and total-body days, rotating variations every few weeks to keep progress moving while joints stay happy. The glutes stay the anchor because that’s where so many good things start: better posture, stronger lifts, happier knees and backs.
  • Progression model
We favor small, steady wins. If technique is crisp and your effort lands in the target range, we nudge load or add a set. If life is hectic or you’re under-recovered, we adjust volume and keep momentum. Strength is a long game; we program like it.
  • Exercise selection
Expect a curated mix of hip thrusts and bridges, squats and split squats, hinges like RDLs and back extensions, rows and presses, carries and core. We use barbells, machines, cables, and bands so you can find positions that fit your build and train hard without poking old hot spots. Our space is outfitted with premium lower-body tools because glute development is our specialty. You’ll feel the difference the first time you’re set up on the right thrust machine.
  • Deloads and resets
Plateaus happen. We plan for them. Every few weeks—based on your training age and recovery—we’ll pull back total volume, change a key variation, or play with tempo to re-ignite progress. You’ll leave primed, not drained.

Personalization in real time

1-on-1 means no cookie cutter decisions. Here’s how modifications happen on the fly:
  • Knees feel cranky in deep squats? We’ll elevate heels, tweak stance width, or switch to a box-target goblet squat while we build range and strength.

  • Struggling to feel glutes in a thrust? We’ll adjust foot placement, add a 2-second top pause, cue pelvis position, and get you to feel the lockout exactly where you should.

  • Low back hogging your hinge? We’ll shorten range, hinge from a block, use cables to change the line of pull, then layer back to RDLs once control is dialed.

  • Shoulders irritated on presses? We’ll move to neutral-grip dumbbells, landmine presses, or a different angle to keep training productive while we build tolerance.

Because it’s just you and your coach, these swaps are immediate. No waiting, no forcing a square peg into a round hole.

How we track progress (so you see it and feel it)

Numbers motivate some people, while others care more about photos or how jeans fit. We support both. You’ll track performance (more reps at the same weight, or the same reps with a heavier load), technique quality (cleaner positions, steadier bar paths), and—if you want—body metrics using in-studio options like 3D body scans. This blend of data and coaching is part of our culture and helps you stay consistent.

Nutrition and lifestyle: clarity beats complexity

You don’t need a 50-page PDF. You need actions you can repeat. We’ll set a simple nutrition baseline—adequate protein, hydration, and well-timed meals around your training—so you feel strong in sessions and recover well after. We’ll also give you light movement goals between training days to keep joints happy and energy steady. When you want a deeper dive, our memberships include guidance that pairs training with nutrition and accountability for full-circle results.

Recovery: the difference-maker most programs skip

Training creates the signal; recovery allows the adaptation. After sessions, you can use our on-site recovery services to bring soreness down and readiness up: infrared sauna for circulation and chill, compression therapy to help tired legs, and even cold plunge options. We’ll help you slot these in without overcomplicating your week. Consistency is the real magic, and recovery makes it easier to show up again and again.

Frequently asked questions

How long are sessions?
Plan on 55–60 minutes including warm-up, coached strength work, a short finisher, and a cool-down. Enough time to train thoroughly without dragging. (Our broader training flow reflects this rhythm across services.)
Do I need lifting experience?
No. We meet you where you are. New lifters learn the basics quickly and safely; experienced lifters get precise tweaks, heavier loading, and targeted accessory work.
Will we only train glutes?
Glutes lead the plan, but you’ll train your whole body. That’s how we build shape, strength, and better movement that carries into everyday life at work, at home, and in your favorite hobbies.
Do you provide nutrition support?
Yes. Memberships include practical nutrition guidance that pairs with your training, plus optional 3D body scans to track changes over time.
What about recovery services?
You can add infrared sauna, compression, and cold plunge to speed recovery and reduce soreness so you can train consistently. We’ll show you how to slot these in wisely.
